Heidi is the owner of The Knitting Machine School and her own brand of luxury cashmere knitwear accessories under the brand name Heidi Hennessy. She aims to fill a need for upscale cold weather cashmere knit accessories that enhance your wardrobe and to teach those who are interested in learning the art of machine knitting.
Heidi has been an entrepreneur in the creative/maker space for as long as she can remember. As a child, alongside her creative mother, she began selling her handmade crafts at craft fairs. As an adult, her love of organization and creativity lead her to cake decorating, flower arranging and wedding and event planning. Each creative endeavor taught her valuable skills in running a small business that she took with her and applied to this current business adventure.
With over a decade of experience in teaching, designing and manufacturing in the fiber industry, Heidi has built lasting relationships and credibility in the knitting community. She continues to teach machine knitting, design patterns for hand and machine knitters, offer cashmere yarn and create luxury high end cashmere accessories in her studio in Boise Idaho with her high school sweetheart supporting her all the way.
